1) Ground frost removal

Thawzall™ can thaw up to 5,000 sq feet per set-up.  Optimum efficiency is achieved, however with a layout of 3,200 sq feet per application.  Depending on conditions, Thawzall can thaw up 12 inches of frost depth per day. Thawing Estimate Charts

The flexibility of the hose allows you to custom fit your layout to any job application.

2) Warming / thawing trenches and footings

Thawing trenches and footings is also possible by laying hoses in long parallel lines.

3) Cold weather concrete or masonry drying

Thawzall™ will protect poured concrete or masonry from frost penetration and improve cold-weather drying.  The hoses are laid in loops, approximately two-feet apart, over the poured concrete or masonry.  Construction blankets placed on top of the hoses add protection.

The optional Cold Weather Construction Management System will allow thawing and drying at the same time.

Thawzall™ can also be hooked up to an in-floor heating system to provide a warming source while concrete is drying.

3) Temporary Heat

Optional Unit Heaters can be connected to a Thawzall™ located outside the building to heat enclosed space.  These Unit Heaters supply safe, fume-free heat very economically.  The optional Remote Manifold allows you to put heaters in different areas or levels.  Larger capacity heaters are also available.

Since the Thawzall™ heating unit is placed outside the work area, work crews can work in a warm and dry building with no worries of flames, carbon monoxide discharge or obnoxious fumes.

Hoses can be connected to a Thawzall™ unit located outside of a building to an existing heating system during boiler breakdowns or repairs.
