How does it work?
All THAWZALL™ models are fully contained units which use a boiler system to heat a biodegradable, environmentally safe propylene glycol mixture. The propylene glycol mixture is then circulated through industrial hydronic hose.
How long will it take to remove frost?
Depending on the layout used, weather, temperatures, and soil conditions, up to 12 inches of frost can be removed in a 24-hour period.

How difficult is it to set up and operate a Thawzall™ Heating unit?
If you are a first-time user, we will take you through the set up and shut down process and answer all of your questions before sending the unit along with you.
Where can I find set up and shut down procedure instructions?
Each machine includes a laminated Start Up & Shut Down Procedure sheet.
*Models 2M, 6A and 12HU will have one attached to the inside of the right rear door.
*Model 12F will have one attached inside the machine near the electrical panel door.

What is the proper way to layout the hoses for optimum heating?

What kind of vehicle do I need to tow THAWZALL™?
A minimum of a 1/2 ton pick up truck with a brake controller will work for MOST models. However, we recommend a 3/4 ton truck with a brake controller.
Can Thawzall™ operate at high altitudes?
Yes, but the operation at high altitudes may require the fuel oil nozzle to be adjusted.
